The Nigerian Academy of Science Maiden Scientific Conference (NAS 2020)
The Nigerian Academy of Science;
the apex society of Science and Technology in Nigeria established in 1977 held its maiden
scientific conference at the University of Lagos (Multi-purpose Hall) on the 4th
and 5th of February 2020. The conference gathered about 300

deliberate and examine the role of science in attaining the Sustainable

The conference is framed around
five sub-themes:

Interestingly, I attended and
participated in the conference as a scientist/researcher to share my original
research through an oral presentation under the sub-theme: Innovation for Health. The conference was nourished with relevant,
notable and influential persons who were physically in attendance; some of
which are fellows (FAS) of the society including:

During my presentation, I
recommended a behavioral change towards the killer disease ‘Malaria’. I emphasized on the No
Breeding sites =No Mosquito=No Malaria policy and suggested Source

participation in health interventions as they are the future of every community
that can ensure sustainability.
